I have a 4 year old outboard. It has thre up positions when you grab the top of the motor to get it out set. Then to get it completely out of the way there is an up lock. once in the uplock iy falls out on the smallest waves. I have the screw as tight as it will go and still allow the motor up. Any ideas?
Yes the engine tilt feature not to mount itself. The tilt has thre relatively close positions and then one that is up enought that the prop is out of the water when under way. That is the position that has a seperate knob you put in the lock position to hold it up. Mine keeps falling.
