Their is great new app out for the iPhone that is called windAlert. This is even better than another one I suggested as it provides wind speeds from weather stations on land as well. This will be great for my lake racing this summer.

Chris, That is a good one. But do a IPhone search on this forum and you will see the apps listed.

Have you tried Dial-A-Buoy ? http://www.ndbc.noaa.gov/dial.shtml
Any phone will suffice.
