Tomorrow is my first day as a full time employee at my company. I've been working there as a contractor since August, but they've started hiring "core" folks to keep around. I'm pretty pleased to have a full time job again, instead of being a contractor, if nothing else for the benefits, especially medical, dental & vision. It'll be nice to have access to a 401k program again and if we've done our job right, profit sharing.

Hah, right now I measure my sailing impedance by the pound...of baking soda. I'm actually hoping to sail more now that I'm not trying to run a business out of my home. That seems to eat away at your time more than having a job.
From one guy who's been doing a long term "contract" to another, congratulations, and I hope it really works out well.
Right now I'm enjoying consulting, since my cobra is still holding out with ARRA coverage (thank you Mr. Pres) and my client likes what I'm doing. Of course, one aw crap could end it all, but running your own business is awesome!
