We're going to spend our life savings on a new outboard for the dink (Little Decision)

After looking at the available rail stowage mounts, I'm curious about how others are stowing the dink motor on a C250.

Port/Stbd, Rail/Elsewhere, On/Off the Dink ????

We don't always tow the dink, sometimes leaving it in the bag till needed. But we're planning a two week trip, so the dink will most likely be towed throughout.

I'll be curious to see what comes of this thread. I have a half baked idea for a mount for ours that attaches to the boarding ladder & could be rotated to lower it into the water for use as an emergency OB.

I put my home made teak mount here. Used a piece of 1-1/4" thick teak board and a couple SS "U" bolts.

Paul, I have some teak you can have, but you and Peggy will need to come visit to get it.

Hmmmm, we have a two week trip planned for June, not sure we would sail up there and back in that time (And Peggy would object to being in 'Pauls Navy')

I might be able to get some Teak for less than the cost of trailing up your way Tom.

I tried to make a bracket for the outbord , i mounted on that bar like toms ..but i centerd it over the rudder ..its ok ..i painted it white its bigger , i made it out of 3" 3/4 oak
my thought was to keep it low ..so its right over the rudder..this will be the first year useing it ..

ya theres not to many places to put it if you dont want to give up a catbird seat ..

Before I sold our little 2 stroke I planned to carry it on a mount on the catbird seat.
