A quick note to introduce myself to the forum. I just purchased a 1984 C25 SRFK, sail #4262. We currently sail at Western Carolina Sailing Club on Lake Hartwell in Anderson, SC.
Congratulations and welcome! We loved our '85 SR/FK--hope you have the same experience! One of the reasons for our choice was this community--it's the best. I'll suggest you order the C-25 Owner's Handbook from Catalina Direct, a great third-party supplier of parts and upgrades for our boats. It's essentially their catalog, but also some good information and lots of ideas, for $10 (with free annual updates). They also can give you good advice over the phone--they really know these boats. Another $22 to join this association, and you're ready for anything!
Welcome to the forum Craig, and congratulations on your purchase. We have been very happy with our 84 boat and expect you will be with yours too. You'll find the folks here to be friendly and eager to help when you have questions.
Congrats on your new boat and joining the Association. You can also get a discount on a membership to West Marine off their annual charge by getting a discount Boat US card. The membership packet or the owners area of this Forum has a dicount number you use that gets you about $8 off the annual charge.
Thanks for the welcome all. Sorry if my previous post about joining the association sounded offensive. It was not meant to be at all. I have appreciated the wealth of information on this site thus far.

I read it as a response to poor, beleaguered Dave B. anyway. Nobody gets seriously assaulted or meanly attacked here, at least outside of tow vehicle discussions , but light humor abounds.
