The Association takes pride in offering this forum to all users. We believe by having a public forum the users will see immediate value and hopefully become a paid member.
Unfortunately, public forums have their own set of problems. Complaints regarding the forum are usually in 2 areas.
1) Invalid forum users These users usually have links to websites trying to sell you something.
2) Inappropriate forum posts Forum posts or e-mails that are inapproprite in nature.
If you would like to report a complaint about a forum user or a forum post you can: A) Reply to this topic (preferred) but any forum user can read your reply. B) Send an e-mail to me by clicking on the Commodore link on the left.
Remember, all association officers are volunteers and I will do my best to respond.

Just a heads up. When a forum member subscribes to a forum or topic in order to receive email notification of a posting to that forum/topic, and their email address is now invalid, then the recipient email servers deliver a response to me (the webmaster) advising that the email could not be delivered.
I have started to lock those accounts as we cannot reach the recipient to advise them of the issue (because the email account has expired).
So if you try to login to your account and cannot, well... I think you get the idea. You'll have to contact me via email so that I can update your account.
Sorry for the inconvienience, but if you saw how many emails I get each day when someone's email has expired you would take pity on me.
You can email me via 'brit in usa g1 at gmail dot com' (no spaces!)
Can you see the IP address they're coming from? Can (or should) we block registrations from IPs in Asia, Africa, Eastern Europe, or wherever... on the assumption there are no C-25s there?
This really isn't a complaint just an observation. On the owners link the first page is the C25/C250/Capri25 owners. It says the last update was Oct. 2006. When I click on the C250 owners it says last update Jan. 2009. I've clicked on the information link and put in my boat infomation twice in about a six month period and the information has not been posted. Is this part of our association site not being used or maintained? I find the information about owners a great way to get aquainted with other members in my area. Thanks for your time and all the hard work that you do.

Paul--stop creating deadlines! This is a sailing association--sailors know better than to operate on deadlines--it can put you in a place you don't want to be!
You'll get to it when other priorities permit. We are not suffering out here!
Yea, I feel the pressure! Monday, Tuesday, Whatday?
Do you like the new copyright date? Is it correct? According to web history the domain was registered in 2005, however I believe that was when the domain was transferred in ownership from a previous sailing network site. We should probably discuss this in the General Forum where most visitors go.
Just a general note here... Many of the posts are spammers promoting a variety of enhancement products, favorite electronics store, or sites that offer various personal ads. Often the posts are by pasting content (prepared in advance and just pasted in after a successful registration) other times they take the trouble to actually type the post.
We (Webmaster, Commodore, and other officers) all have the ability to remove spammers and their posts from the forum. This is a process that we follow on a daily basis.
We all receive the notice when any member posts to the forum complaints topic and the first one to react wins the task of cleaning the post/poster.
The primary purpose of the Forum Complaints topic is to eliminate the need for multiple reports of a single spamming event.
Please, when you notice a spam posting, check here to see if it has already been reported, then if not, simply make a post in this topic with a link to the offending post. Alternately post their user name here. We don't need the details or specifically how you find it offensive, we will figure it out
But please don't email any of the staff / officers directly with reports of spammers, we respond to posts here very quickly, sometime within minutes of the complaining post. Sending emails to the staff/officers probably results in us all receiving multiple complaints on the latest spammer. Posting here if they have not already been reported is by far the most efficient method of spam reporting.
