Is there a way to set up a single line reefing system so you can pull one line and reef? Mine is currently set up with a block towards the end of the boom and a cleat at the fron of the boom where it meets the mast. I have one line through the reefing eye above the block and then keep a second line handy to manual tie off the reefing eye closest to the mast.
I would like to have it set up so I could run it through the deck organizer and clutches with just one line.
What do I need to do or add?
Thanks

I don't have any pictures - boat is still tarped, but you are half way there. Get a longer length of line. Where you currenly cleat near the mast, replace the cleat with a cheek block and run the line up and through the first reef crinkle, then down to a turning block at the base of the mast. From there you can run it through a deck organizer and back to a cleat, or directly back to a cleat. I have 1st and 2d reefs set up this way only on the opposite side of the spar than the stock version port verses staboard. Personal preference rules here. With this system you can reef the entire foot with one line from the cockpit. Note also that some folks have added small blocks at the crinkle instead of running the line through. I have not found this necessary and can reef in a couple of minutes when required - single handed.
