I saw this on the shelf at Sams Club tonight. I am going to measure my space tomorrow to see if it will fit.
It was only $188. Now I just need a modified hose that I can lead outside of the cabin so the tank can be stored outside. Any ideas on how I could do this modification. The stove has a connection to take the small tanks or a converter hose to take a larger tank.
Scott, that was a beautiful modification. Was this one of our members? Chris, are you up to the task? Looks like a job well worth being able to eat blueberry muffins to me. The smell is already getting to me. Yum, yum. Go for it. Steve A
it look sworth doing. I am going to wait till after I launch to sit down and figure it out. I am also looking at replacing the whole counter this summer. Might have to really engineer this one.

Dave, I am not familiar with the C25 lockers hence my note that it might not work. On the C250 the LPG locker is in the starboard locker and that locker is vented through the transom. Wherever an LPG locker is installed it would need to be properly vented. The nice thing about the LPG locker is that is also has the added safety feature of a shutoff solenoid.
The C-25 has a much smaller "rope locker" under the starboard seat, and a full-depth "sail locker" (some call it "the dumpster") under the port seat. Starting in 1983 they added a gas tank locker in the cockpit on port. The sail locker is open to the bilge, which will collect any leakage--therefore my admonition. The term "lazarette" wasn't clear to me.
I believe the thermocouple hooked to the shutoff solenoid (as installed by Catalina on C-250s) is a USCG requirement for new boats, so that if the flame blows out, the gas won't flow for long. Overkill? You decide.

Chris,
For us northern sailors, there's an unwritten rule, "if a project isn't completed by launch day, it's scheduled for after haul out".
