Jims post about the Border run race and then followed by the Officers meeting last night, it brought up the subject of Regional Regattas.

I'll start the ball rolling:

Let's plan a Catalina 25/250/Capri Regatta for south florida this year.

Plenty of time, I'm looking at November 2009.

If any of you would like to participate in this, then chime in.

Of course, other areas can get their own regatta's going.

I'm in Pompano Beach and I can do that. I think the Miami to key Largo is a great opportunity for Catalinas to compete amongst each other as well as others

This is a great idea. Lets get some regional regattas sanctioned. Lets make tee shirts for everyone who enters. Lets give a trophy for the winner, annual points and crown a National Champion
