My situation is somewhat similar to yours Kendall. I use the pilings, spring lines and a few bumpers. I leave the lines on the dock for an easy grab as I approach. It's simple and it's worked great for me. Oh, and I'm in a tidal situation as well.

Why isn't "Bamboo" in the lift out of the water? It looks like a dual motor lift and should have no problem lifting her?

2 reasons. The lift isn't made for 4500 lbs and the canal is only about a foot deep there. Would be nice, eh?

Why isn't Bamboo out on the dry, tarped annd covered with snow. Oh wait, wrong state. I was thinking of my boat anyway!!! ;))

Dave,

Do me a favor and go down to your boat in the next couple of days and have drink on your boat for me. I can only dream about sitting at the dock at sunset enjoying a cold one at this time of year.
