I am cleaning out some stuff I don't need.

First is a Loos Gauge model PT-1 for cable sizes, 3/32, 1/8, and 5/32. New at $70 this one is like new and selling for $35 including shipping.

Next is a Wind Scoop (Best Marine Imports) that attaches to your forward hatch and forestay. It catches the breeze and sends it down into the cabin. New at $48 this one is like new and selling for $25 including shipping.

Final item is a Lewmar winch handle holder. I added two button snaps that you can remove. These cost $25 and I'm selling for $10 including shipping.

Send me an e-mail if you want an item.

We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.

I think we need to all agree on a new policy regarding selling items in the swap meet. If it's small items like these we need to all agree on one of the following:

A) Nothing can be offered for sale during normal sailing hours on the weekend so that we down south who can sail all winter have a fair shot at getting some of these items (and can use them all year long)

OR

B) Nothing can be offered up for sale until you contact me first to see if I'm interested.

I'll place the first vote --I vote B)!

Randy, if the winch handle holder is available, what is the distance between the two snaps? and is holder hard plastic?

Steve, I'll measure the snaps tonight. They are positioned to use two snaps already on the bulkhead for the poptop tent. The holder is a very firm but not sold vinyl. It is sturdy but wont hurt you if you bang into it. Lewmar.

UPDATE - The snaps are 2 1/16" apart - center to center

See what happens when you poke fun at us up North? We send cold down south.
quote:
Wed, Oct 29, 7:02 AM
It’s cold this morning! A new record low was set this morning in Tampa and Lakeland. Temperatures range from the lower 30s in the normally colder spots to the 50s along the Gulf.

Happy D,

Lucky for me your aim isn't that good since I live in Houston and not Florida! The lowest we've had this fall is around 42.

It was 45 this morning, clear, and calm! I'll trade 45 for a few hours in the morning for this:

FRIDAY:
Partly cloudy. Highs around 80. Southeast winds 5 to 10 mph.

FRIDAY NIGHT:
Partly cloudy. Lows in the upper 50s.

SATURDAY:
Partly cloudy. Highs around 80. Lows around 60.

SUNDAY:
Partly cloudy. Highs around 80. Lows around 60.

So while you're pulling your boat and getting out the snow shovels I'll remember to put on an extra layer of suntan oil and mosquito spray for you!

Btw, I think I have room in my dock box if you'd like to send your sails down so they don't freeze!

What a shame!!!

But you mean you don't have satellite links to the internet on your boat? Tiller in one hand and laptop in the other? LOTS OF SHOPPING TO DO...
