I am looking at a possible job transfer to Duluth, MN and a change in sailing venue from the Chesapeake to Lake Superior. Watching the lake go from a dead calm to 25 knot winds and 6 to 8 feet seas in a matter of hours certainly takes one from going from "sheltered" to "offshore" conditions. Does anyone have any experiences in sailing a C25/C250 WK on Superior they can relate? Have they found the C25/250 WK up to the task, or is a heavier displacement vessel a necessity or a luxury?
