I pulled out my old DataMarine S-200-DL depth finder and plan to remove the electronics, then mount the new gauge inside the old housing.
That leaves the electronics available for sale to anybody who would like to buy them. This is a pretty arcane unit, so I don't expect tremendous demand.
The meter works fine whenever the transducer is clear after a cleaning, but over time, sea grass builds up on the transducer and the guage stops working.
(I've had to put on the mask and snorkel a few times this year to clean it off. We've got a whole heck of a lot more jellyfish up in the river this year, so I'd prefer not swimming too frequently.)
