Okay, going to be pulling my cover off in the next few weeks and not happy with how the cover has held up over 2 years. I am considering doing the shrink wrap next year. My friend already has the gun and I looked at the material online at this web site and I think it would cut my costs way down.

Also, meet some new friends on their 42 Pearson in the Keys last week and they were telling me that they used to do this and could reuse the material for a few years if it is done right.

I was wondering what experience anyone might have with doing this type of thing.

I had my C25 shrink wrapped by a marina one year, and re-used the same wrapping 3-4 years. It's much tougher, more durable material than vinyl tarps. When you remove it, think about how you're going to re-attach it next time. Cut only what you must. Next year, you have to store the mast exactly as the previous year, or the cover won't fit, but that isn't difficult. If you're going to do it yourself, I suppose you can make any needed repairs from year to year.
