Don...that might just work ... I will consider them.

Sten... I would use the old alcohol stove and convert it except for 1 thing. It was long gone before I bought the boat and wasn't there when the PO bought it. When I bought the boat the only item in the stove area was a good solid wooden cutting board. I used it for the template when making the new base for the stove. I didn't want to cut up the cutting board. It will be sanded, refinished and used for its primary purpose.

If anyone wants a nice princess alcohol stove for propane conversion, parts, or to restore let me know... free except u pay shipping. Nice piece of stainless and brass... I hate to toss it in the scrap heap.

The one I have on the boat now is a Princess alcohol to propane conversion. Works great, you can have a pot of coffee in just a few minutes. I use a hose adaptor that comes out at the bottom of the stove area and connects to a coleman propane bottle. I attach a canister when I want to use the stove, detach and keep the bottle outside in the starboard cockpit locker when not in use. (Mark I C25)

Ditto here.... I'm never going to use mine now. It's yours if you want it. Also, you'd have to wait until I get back to Boston!

Hmmm... You now have my attention. How difficult is it to convert from alcohol to propane? And is there somewhere I can read about the process.

Clambeach/sten... I just might take either of you up on your offer... I am certainly willing to pay shipping if your stove will fit in my opening. Can you tell me if it will fit?

Mine is a 1985 - Hull #4849 and you are probably right. I just measured the new stove base and it is exactly 19 3/4" wide. This is the total width of the metal enclosed area where the stove fits.
