At last nights monthly Association's Board Meeting I was elected to fill Kevin's vacated position and serve out the remaining term as Commodore. During the discussions we talked and looked for various candidates and volunteer's (of whom there was 2) and Dave Turner from Cincinnati's Ohio was voted in to fill the vacant Vice Commodore position. Dave is an avid sailor who loves to both cruise and race and has participated in the last two Nationals at Cleveland. Dave who is now retired, will have abundant time to assist the rest of the officers with our mission.

Be fore details are released of our other discussions last night let me say that from now on all minutes from our meetings will be posted in the "members only section" under the Telltales as in the past. Unfortunately we realized that there were only one or two postings last year to which we plan to rectify immediately. Also hopefully by time I'm done posting this the end of the year financial report should also be posted in the "members only section" for all to review the financial health of our Association.

Thanks for your patients and we are working hard for all.

Good luck to the newest board, I believe we are in good hands. The devil is indeed in the details and the TellTales/minutes publishing issue has always been a problem. WHen I was Secretary the Tell Tales was the responsibility of another title so even though minutes were published via email to other officers getting them to the membership was inconsistent. Recently the TellTales evolved into the responsibility of the Secretary, which in my mind is probably the place it belongs but also overloads the position. The Secretary position as it was under my term as Commodore was the goto for way too much.
