Certainly everything there (including shops names, road signs etc.) are in French. Seeing as how they are only 22% of the Canadian population they try to ignore the rest of the country! <hr height="1" noshade id="quote"></font id="quote"></blockquote id="quote">
In Quebec, they fly the Canadian flag(the Maple Leaf) and their provincial flag(fleur-de-lis), much the same as say a Texan would fly the Stars and Stripes and the Flag of the Republic of Texas.(the Lone Star Flag)
A vocal minority agitate and make the news headlines. Their intention being the preservation of their proud history. Most Quebecers, just as most Southeners and Texans in the USA, are Nationalists who like to display their local pride.
To answer the original question (I tune in here frequently to talk about boats, an escapism that takes my mind away from things trivial such as work and politics and taxes) I fly the Maple Leaf from my stern. I fly club burgees from a burgee line run from my stb spreader to stb aft lower shroud.
As an outsider I just want to say that I think the Maple leaf flag and Oh Canada are two beautiful and stirring national icons and as a Kansan I have huge respect for Canada as a partner in feeding the world.
