Does anyone have a good place to get parts for a 1989 8HP Suzuki outboard? I need an owners manual now and would like to know in advance where to get parts. Any suggestions on where to get it repaired in the Houston, TX area?

The motor runs fine now, just trying to plan ahead for the day it doesn't.

Thanks in advance for your help!

Have you checked their website? Honda's has manuals going way back (in PDF form) and a directory of sales and service locations.

Brown's Point Marine. I'm messing with a 9.9 Suzuki now. They have online parts catalogs you can access.

Gary, in the area Blue Water marine is where I've had the motor worked on in the past. They bought the manuals for it the first time I brought it in. Bad part is - $85 per hour labor. I had a $600 repair for a $20 part one time, some kind of fuel line elbow. The troubleshooting was the expensive part. Rebuilding the carb and new fuel pump was what it took before they found the real problem.

Colby,

There you are! Thanks for the tip on Bluewater. I've tried getting in touch with you via email a couple of times. I finally got the hardcopy of the survey and a CD with the pictures. Do you still want a copy?

Are you going to be around during the holidays? If the weathers good maybe we could go sailing.

Give me a call!
