Over the weekend I was "pimping out" my boat. I opened my front hatch and used the "adjuster" (I think that's what it's called or the "hatch stay"?) -- It wouldn't keep the hatch open. I tightened it up fully but the hatch still slid shut.
Of course I tightened even more and the plasic screw inside the dog knob just sheared off.
but it's not similar to the orignial which has a rounded piston type of adjuster. Has anyone had a similar fix? What to do...Fix one thing another breaks...
I'm not worried about the 25 bucks, it's that I think the holes won't line up --and it will turn into an epoxy job plus redrilling and rebedding. A retrofit would be my hope.
