we get flies while were sailing .
I have been using the spray , and I'm sure that's not good to be breathing !!

I always carry a swatter. I hate when it splatters my blood on the gelcoat...

We go through spells where they are very bad...then, next time they are not there. I use the swatter, too. Wash the blood off immediately and it's not too bad on the gel coat.

Yesterday I used insect repellant for the first time, to combat the flies, and it worked well. The problem with a fly swatter is that, as soon as you kill one of the little buggers, another one takes it's place. Mother Nature created a never-ending supply of them.

(Remember "Two all-beef patties..."?) Maybe a dead fish on the bow would distract them...
