I seen this somewhere and it works for keeping the anchor line down .
Its a small anchor on a 10` line .

It holds the main anchor line down , Away from boaters who drive to close for my comfort

Pretty cool. I assume you drop and set the anchor first then slide the "helper" down the rode?

So you use it like a [url="http://www.johnsboatstuff.com/Articles/anchor.htm"]kellet to put a catenary[/url] in the rode?

Off topic, what's the deck fill on the port side of your anchor locker, water?

yep I set the anchor first ,then just clip it over the anchor line and lower it down .
it holds it down even with a good breeze blowing .
it must be ten to fifteen pounds .

it was in sail magazine I think they called it a cenntinal , i didnt know how to spell it so i left it out .


Dave thats the water fill , the tanks in the bow .
