I am in need of a used catalina 25 standard rig main sail. Mine is all rotted out and useless. Any condition would work as long as there is no rot or sunburn.
Thanx

Suggest that you go online to Atlantic Sail Traders. They are reasonable and great to work with.

Check the swap meet forum. I thought a main was for sale there.

Also check EBAY as I believe there was a main also listed there.

The main on the swap meet forum was for a tall rig.

If you can spring for it contact Gary at Ullman Ventura (CA) and get a quote on a new main -- he often has them in stock. Gary is the primary supplier to Catalina Direct and is well know/regarded by Catlaina owners. I have purchased sails from him and he is very reasonable. Also check out Atlantic Sail Traders and National Sail, both in FL and like Ulman, expereinced and reasonable in pricing.

All the best

If possible as Peter said I would check with Gary @ Ullman sails. a flogging boom tore my mains'l near the lower batten pocket. The last time it was repaired the loft indicated a new sail might be needed. I went on line and compared options with price, shot Gary an email and talked with him as well. I purchased a foot loose main, with cunningham, one reef point, two on two, with draft stripe, insignia and numbers (all came in a very handsome sailbag with ties) for less that $800.00. I ganed at least a knot and can now point three to five degrees higher. Oh and I also took care of the flogging boom with the purchase of a traditional boom vang from Catalina direct for $150.00. Hope that gives you a direction to reach for. Good luck and happy sailing.
