Due to UV exposure the bottom of the tubes on my Walker Bay, which sits bottom up on my foredeck, 365 days a year, are in sad shape. They're PVC, i didn't think they would deteriorate THIS fast..... Apparently they are for indoor use only. West Marine sells a dinghy paint..... The paint requires prep with MEK for PVC, or Acetone for Hypalon. Then you brush on the paint. Has anyone done this? Results? The can does not list UV protection as a benefit....opinions?

I just looked at the WB site--they have covers, and they have hypalon tubes for their RIBs. As you know, at least by now Oscar, PVC is significantly inferior to hypalon for long-term UV exposure. Since I keep my hypalon Achilles rolled up most of the time, it should last forever!
