Go figure, a Melges 24 won the 213 boat Queens Cup Regatta from Milwaukee to Muskegon (66 NM). The boats ranged from 24 (Melges 24) to 86 Max Z86) LOA. If I had just three more days to prepare I would have been in that race with my Capri 25. Would I have been competitive TOD? I did know that if the winds were light, which they were & notoriously are, that the smaller LOA boats would be very competitive.
