I like reading about poeples trips so heres mine
Its 12:00 friday loaded up ready to go . about a 16 mile one way for me

weather said 10 to 20 with gusts up to 30 . A little too much for me ,
but the wind and tied were right and the misses didnt hear the weather .

reafed up and no jib still doing 5 to 6


getting close to New York

finaly in the harbor check out these houses






we anchored of a mooring feild



we stayed saterday and the crowed shuffeled in good guess staying near the bridge

sunday we left about 8:00am poked around the marinas a bit before we left








I found the party

Fun trip , and a down wind sail home

Sounds like you had a great trip, even if you were a little sneaky with the weather forecast. Those are some beautiful boats in your pictures.

Nice shots, Sean... If anyone's curious, the sleek white hull by the red bouy is a New York Yacht Club 30 (that's her LWL), a one-design gaffer, and the black hull in the picture above her appears to be a Herreshoff Q-boat. We have both around here, and they're even more gorgeous under sail.

Sean, who was gaining in your race with that black gaffer?

That black gaff was a tour boat , I guess they sail around the harbor , they were comeing head on .
that was friday comeing in .

And that black Herreshoff Q boat was really nice ,that was at 8:00am he was comeing in nice and quiet , nobody was up yet .

Sean: Beautiful photography -- wish I could get such nice shots, then again, my skills are sucha that I need to focus on not hiting the otehr boats/yachts while not going aground!

Hey.... top drawer pictures and very interesting and scenic area.
Thanks for taking the time it requires to do this picture thing.
I use Google Earth to follow these boat trips as someone else had suggested.
