I searched through the archives, I thought I remembered someone replacing the faucets on their 250 but I couldn't find it.

I managed to break the tip away on the galley faucet. It was classic, breaking something while trying to fix something else. The faucet is still functional, and I'm going to epoxy the tip back on this evening, but I've been thinking about replacing them since the first time we used them last year. The galley faucet leaks a bit every time you pump it, and has from day one. Both of them seemed fragile to me. I guess I proved that...

Has anyone replaced their faucets, if so what did you replace them with? I just have the stock tank up forward, no pump, and no great inclination to install one, at least not yet.

I don't have a recommendation for replacing the faucets but I did just buy the rebuild kits for the head and galley faucets. When I get the kits installed I'll post the results. Right now the galley leaks a bit and the head leaks a lot.

The faucets are going to leak a little by design. There is a little water that sits just above the little pump that can slosh around a little. That water can evaporate over time and the pump will not be able to pull draft any longer. If you prime the pump with a little water it will work. On your galley you can just pull the aluminium spicket out and add water. The spicket is held in place with a cork. To replace the units completely would take about 20 minutes. It is a pretty simple job. Release the hose clamp to remove supply line and unscrew faucet from underneath the counter. There is a compatible one in WM catalog for about $60.

My galley faucet leaks alot and the one in the lav doesn't work at all. I had planned on replacing the one in the lav but I'll try the prime first. Where can I find a rebuild kit? From Whale?

we added this faucet with the foot pump . I love it plenty of water to wash your hands .And easy to install .
but you can see when I took the old faucet off there was a couple of extra holes . maybe a thin metal ,cut to the old shape will work .

OK, so the time has come to replace at least the galley pump, it broke again while Rita was trying to use it yesterday. I don't know why I try to use that plastic weld epoxy crap, it always seems to fail.

Anyway, does anyone know what the barrel diameter is on the pump? In the rush to get off the boat yesterday I forgot to measure it, and now it's a 45 minute drive to get to.

I'm looking at this one with a 1" barrel (which seems right, but want to be sure) as a replacement, but would like to hear about others' installations and what you used.

Thanks,
