Team +39 cracked their 3 day old Carbon Fiber mast today in the second fleet race for the Louis Vitton Cup (the prelude to the Americas Cup) If the mast cost 300 thousand is each part worth 150?

Team Oracle moved from 4th to 1st only to drop to seventh after an exploding spin pole.

Soshola from South Africa Blew out a Headsail

The Germans broke a running backstay and the Chinese blew out a boom vang...

The addition of Fleet Racing has made for some very exciting racing.

amazing stuff - you can listen to it online for free or pay for the computer view....I think you can pay more for live tv coverage but haven't found the right website yet.

Thanks David, I've seen most of those, I'm actually looking for the Sail.tv stuff but haven't been too successful.

Why is the AC defender (Alinghi) sailing in the LV Cup races?? (The bad news: They're winning.)

This is technically not the LV - they are removed from the standings before awarding points. After this act the LV actually starts.

Yeah they are winning, but nobody is really f'in with them either b/c they don't count right now. Switch to match racing and I think you'll see a little different story

Somebody f'ed with them enough to push them over the line in one race, and they're still ahead... It just suggests to me that when the LV is over, the winner has his hands full.
