Anyone sailing the SF Bay have a dodger on their C25 or C250? I'm moving my boat to Marina Village in Alameda next month and thinking about adding a dodger for those windy and wet days. If you can recommend someone local who has or makes custom dodgers I would appreciate their contact information. Thanks, Dan #727
Dan, Pacific Coast Canvas had a booth at Strickly Sail last year. I don't have a dodger and I haven't done business with them. They're in Alameda --> Pacific Coast Canvas

Thanks Russ, I won't make it to Strickly Sail this year, too many work conflicts, but I will stop by their shop as soon as I get the boat moved...looks like they are near the boat yard, thanks again.
Dan, We keep our boat in Grand Marina, where Pacific Coast Canvas' shop is located. I have not had a good experience dealing with them, kinda haughty, have enough work to keep 'em busy, sneer at customers as if they're in the way, and always are "so busy that we can't get to your boat until September." They also always seem to use white thread on dark dodgers, which I just personally don't like.
We had a great experience with an individual named Laurie Elliott, in Berkeley, 510-632-0110, email may still work: canvasmithe@neteze.com. Been two or three years, great work, no complaints, on time, on budget and she talks with you, not at you. She came recommended by a friend of a friend of a friend who's into wooden boats. We really liked the outcome, choices of material made available for colors and window material, and quality of the work.
The sailmaker we use is in San Mateo/Burlingame area. Maybe a bit far from you but has a good rapport with customers. He has branched out into some canvas work for the little electric boats that run around the lagoon in Foster City. Joe rushka at Leading Edge (halsey Lidgard) 650 347 0795. Tell him I sent you.
