Are both correct? <hr height=1 noshade id=quote></BLOCKQUOTE id=quote></font id=quote><font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica" size=2 id=quote> Richard: A boat's "sheer" is the shape of the top of the hull, as viewed from the side--a gradual upward curve toward the bow in a classic hull form. The gunwale, as you undoubtedly know, is the top edge of the hull that shields the guns on deck. <img src=icon_smile_wink.gif border=0 align=middle> I believe a boat designer would call the stripe in question a sheer stripe--since its purpose is to accentuate the boat's sheer (although it happens to be along the gunwale). However, I'm not sure, in the classic sense, that our boats, with their decks that overlap the top of the hull, actually have gunwales... <img src=icon_smile_question.gif border=0 align=middle>

Hey Guys! Had to get in on this one as no one seems to have my color scheme:
1982 Cat 25 Std/SK Name:Lucky Star Hull: Camel Boot and Cove Stripe: Brown Canvas: Sunbrella True brown Red accents in all running rigging and namesake Interior: Brown (originally) but redoing with a nice soft taupe cotton twill by sunbrella interior fabrics, carpet is synthetic olefin type material in a taupe/black with colorful specks in aqua, purple, magenta, navy and red (all very small) Took our aft cushions to use space for storage and ac/dc refrig. Carpeted aft area.
I've only seen one other Camel/Brown config. It was also an '82, Must've been the only year they made them, but I don't know for sure!
