The first time we took or Capri 25 out for a race we left the fenders hanging. We had other things on our mind, and another racer made the comment that we might be a little faster if the fenders were put away. Yep, I felt really stupid, and it is the first thing I put away after we leave the dock........

It took me quite a while to figure out what was wrong with that picture. Speaking as an experience airhead, I would not be surprized to find my fenders hanging out when I got back into the slip. I remember trying to hoist the main sail with the cover still on. It makes life interesting. Cheers.

On our little lake there is no place to go, so I am thinking about taking my fenders off and nailing them to the sides of the finger piers. That's probably the only way for my old head to avoid embarassment.
We did have to dock during a holiday weekend under sail at Put-in-Bay. Raft off actually. With 400 other boats at the dock and in the harbor the last thing we thought about was putting out the fenders....
