I may need to locate a thorough trustworthy surveyor in the Annapolis, MD area. Anyone familiar with surveyors in the area have any suggestions? Appreciate comments regarding your experiences.

I used the following surveyor - both we and the former owners were satisfied with his work and explainations.

F. Michael Kaufman, III, NAMS-CMS
Naval Architect, Marine Surveyor,
Kaufman Design, inc.
40 Boone Trail, Severna Park, Maryland 21146 USA 410 263 8900, 410 647 8953 Fax: 410 647 7085

Alan in July of '98 prior to purchasing my C25 I had it surveyed by
Hartoff Marine Survey
Annapolis 800-438-2827

They seemed through and the report was well done. I think it was about $250.

Thanks to all for your recommendations. Nothing beats prior experience. Fancy web pages don't impress me, but solid knowledge and thorough work do.
