Hi all, I are waiting to hear from our bank for a loan to buy a business in northern Michigan. This new buisness (if we buy it) is facing a marina on Lake Huron so my boat will be 100 yards from my office. How cool is that. Here is a picture from my office. Cheers.
There's nothing like it! (When I was working)...I would break for lunch, make a sandwich, walk outside to the boat and take a lunch cruise down past the Mystic Seaport... and then go back to work. Now I do the same thing, except for the "work" part.
If I had an office that close to my boat I wouldn't have an office very long....and then come the attorneys, the bankruptcy courts, the layoffs and the ruined credit. I'd get a lot of sailing in though.....I currently am 15 feet from the closest window - probably a good thing for me.

How Cool Dennis! I'm not quite as lucky, but close. I'm about a mile from my boat here in Daytona and like to get down 2 or 3 times a week, doing small projects or just to lay back, listen to the gulls, wind, halyards and close my eyes for 10 or 15 minutes. Why did I wait so long to buy this boat?
Hi Al, it is the Tawas City Condo Marina. I have never heard of this, but you buy the slip just like a condo. In two minutes from the slip I can be sailing on lake Huron. Cheers.

(My work here is done.)
Aaaaaahhhhhhh, sooooooo, it's not northern Michigan. It's northern lower Michigan. I need to check a map to see if you would be in reasonable sailing distance of the straights.
Hi Al, Tawas City is directly across from the tip of the Thumb. It looks like a great sail the anywhere on Huron. Maybe a day (24 hours) from the Big Mac. Cheers.
