The C250 we purchased included a large netting that the PO mentioned goes over the poptop. I am wondering if this is a Catalina item or something the PO just picked up . It doesn't seem form fitted. Thnaks. Randy
We cannot direct the winds but we can adjust our sails.
We are between digital cameras right now. Broke one and a new one is on order. The Admiral and I held up the net and it appears to be a rectangular box shape about 3 feet wide and 6 feet long and 5 feet high. It has little ties instead of snaps so my guess is that it is something from an outdoor store. Other possibility is that it goes over the bimini but I doubt it. The POs lived in Iowa and, judging by the neting and pest sprays and candle-bug-things, must have had a lot of bug problems on their lake!
I am not sure if netting was ever provided when the boat was new but what it may be is the netting one buys at a camping store. It just so happens that when I was going on our first overnighter, I dug out of my garage the netting that we bought for my son when he was in the scouts. It had hardly ever been used. Coincidentally, this netting is close to a perfect fit with the pop top up. I just used some clips to secure it at the area near the mast. It also seems to be of a rectangular shape.
