Hi folks:

I need a tiller extension. What kind do you have, and is that what you'd recommend?

forespar
i got the 24" that extends to about 48"
these are guesses on length.
it's a little short to sit all the way forward at the cabin backs.

i made one out of PVC to the length to reach sitting on the rail at the cabin bulkhead.

the forespar is the kind that takes a drill hole thru the tiller and a SS insert. that way you can remove the extenstion when not in use.

I had my Forespar extension fail (from age) and bought the Ronstan extension to replace. I DO NOT LIKE IT. It has the rubbery swivel connector and is difficult to control. It flops around and my hand radar has a hard time finding it without looking. I'm gonna go back to the Forespar extension.
