I've been sailing off and on for about 40 years, and I've now joined the Catalina fold. I'm donating my old Clipper Marine 21 (W.B. Crealock designs beautiful boats) to the Sea Scouts and setting sail on a 1982 s/k with t/r and roller jib. I still have to give the aesthetic edge to the Clipper, but I like the Catalina's lines and everything else is exactly what I wanted in my next boat. We've only been out once on a test sail, but I anticipate some glorious autumn sails and plan to drag Pearl to the Florida panhandle for a bit this winter. Great forum.

The Clipper bow is beautiful, the LWL: LOA of the Catalina is brilliant. The beauty of the Catalina design grows on you as you discover how effective the design is at delivering comfort and sailing ability. We all wish we still had every boat we have ever owned. Welcome
