Hey Paul.... the rudder warning has been long known and was very applicable on one of the C25 rudder designs... couldn't even leave the rudder lying flat on walkway deck boards in the hot sun.
The warning is more applicable if a rudder has dark bottom paint on it. I've not heard of any problems with a fully white rudder or one stored on the gudgeons and certainly one immersed in the water will not overheat... lets hope global warming doesn't ever get that bad.
