With 10+ days of rain in the forcast I won't be able to rebed the deck hardware for awhile. So with the weekend approaching does anyone have plans to make a seat that could fit in the comapionway, perhaps utilizing the the hatchboards for a back rest? Thanks in advance for any ideas.

Shauneen,

I don't have any seat plans, but the previous owner of my boat made a table that just spans the width of the cockpit and has wood blocks on the under side to keep it wedged in place. You could probably use this same technique to make a seat to span the cockpit in front of the companionway.

This kind of shows how this may work for you...

Good luck.

Take a look in the tech tips. Frank built a really cool seat for his C-way. I have it on my list to do this coming winter. Cheers.

It is here, click on the photos to make them larger. I used a take-apart-hinge and wooden blocks.
