I'm using a whisker pole right now for my spin. The pole is old and extends only with some serious coaxing. What is the max length for a class legal spin pole? I'm thinking about spending some additional boat units and want to make sure I get the right one.

The spinnaker pole length for a C25 is equal to the "J" dimension, which is 10.5'.

I have an extendable spinnaker pole that I think is a 6'-12' adjustable. I like it because it stores below when not in use. I have it marked with bands so it was completely legal during the 2004 Nationals.

Whisker pole length is considerably longer - though I don't know why, most boats length is the J dimension in phrf rules.

If you do not plan to race her you can get by with around a 11 to 11.5 inch pole just fine.
