Capri's did come with these right? Mine hasn't worked since I bought the boat. The mast is down and what I thought was the socket for the light is actually a connector for the an old wind instrument. No sign whatsoever of the light. Now I know why the wire to the light was cut at the mast post inside. No wire for the light in the mast! Can I get away with a deck light/steaming light combo the way our spinnaker sheaves are located?
Our boat has a masthead light, I guess it might have been an option :)? I think that you could install a masthead steaming light 2' above the topping lift exit on the mast. How was the mast coming down using the hinged mast plate? Did you take the lower forwards off loosen the side stays, remove the forstay and layed it down with the halyard? I have to drop our mast here in the next couple of months to replace the mast head fly, It seems ours is a little bent to the port side, and really bugs the crap out of me.
