Does the C250 come equipped with an Emergency Tiller?
Do you advise having an Emergency Tiller on board?

My C250 WK has wheel steering and I'm just a'wonderin.

Thanks.

Tommy,
Yes, mine came with an emergency tiller.
It was under the port cabin seat.
I have a C250WB with wheel steering.

Not only do I advise having one I recommend insuring that it fits and 'try it out' before you need it. I needed mine when one of the take-up eyes broke in 15 mph wind! I also have the wheel option (obviously) and found that the installed emergency tiller JUST clears the wheel so you can use it without removing the wheel. (I did try mine before the issue!)

Ditto...I had a take up eye fail and had to use the emergency tiller to get back to the marina...one good thing to practice...and make sure you don't drop the wing nut...I didn't but I do carry a spare...Dan #727

OK so far......
Now do I look for the 'emergency tiller' that looks exactly the same as the 'regular' C250 tiller?

Yes, mine was unvarnished, just a few coats and it looks like everyone elses.
