Ok, I'm officially converted from Yahoo.

Also - I've had the boat out of the water for a month. Man has it been productive. New bottom repainted the topsides to a cool whisper grey, blue bottom, white bootstripe.

Replaced all my standing rigging and got rid of all the !@#$!# cotter pins on the boat and put in more modern fixtures all around.

Installed a new TackTick instead of the cruising stuff that I could never get working anyway.

Putting a new traveller on tonite or tomorrow nite with the harken windward sheeting car. Also felt a need to replace the track as it just didn't seem sturdy enough in my previous model.

Hope to be finished by Saturday as we have a noon start in a regatta.

Still looking for a mainsail that has some PULL, mine is thin. Also looking for a new genoa with a window. I'm definitely interested in used sails if they are out there!

I'll post pictures when I re-launch in the next couple of days.

Smooth sailing.

Josh,

You should retell the story of how you have rehabiltated the Capri with a beard, the folks here would love it I'm sure and it's a story worth telling!

I'll retell that story soon! It's been a long trip!

We finished fourth overall out of 9 boats this Saturday. Only got two races in, 10-15 knots of wind. We were 7 seconds out of third, 28 seconds out of second. I know exactly where we lost the time (and my crew got flogged for not getting the chute down faster!!!)

Pictures and more soon.

Josh
