I had gone to Catalina owners yesterday and looked at the list of owners on the site. Felling the need to get in contact with them, I emailed them all. Telling them about the web site. I recieved an email last night from a man named lets say "Bill". It was very interesting read. He sleeps on his Capri because of his snoring keeps the family up. He had bought the boat last year for a low price and is in the process of fixing her up. He has little sailing experence and has been sleeping on the Capri, Yes I said that again Sleeping on the Capri. I had only thought about the Capri being a daysailor if even that. Well I just have to say, "Bill" if you are reading this "I just want to say you are doing what most of us dream about, Living aboard your own boat". He told me he was not going to join the group, for what reasons It really doesn't matter. I wish him the best, and would really like to hear more about the conditions of sleeping on the Capri 25. I wish you all the best for this season have a wonderful Christamas and New Year.

Well Tristan Jones crossed the Atlantic in his 23 foot Dart among going many other places.
I think of my Capri more as a weekender than a daysailor. I suppose it's a matter of perspective. Myself, I could easily live alone in my Capri, depending on the location and nearby facilities. It isn't something I want to do, but it certainly is doable.

A guy by the name of Fishmeal has a site dedicated to the Merit 25 http://www.well.com/user/pk/M25.html (a boat similar to the Capri 25 but with a 8' beam) he raced it to Hawaii and sailed it back solo. A very interesting read if you have the chance.
