The association officers held our somewhat-monthly conference call last evening, and Duane provided a status report on preparations and plans for the 2006 National Regatta. <b>All I can say is, WOW!</b>

I personally attended the 2005 event organized by Frank Hopper, and without taking any credit away from Frank, I want to say that Duane has substantially raised the bar for hosting the event!

<b><u><font color="red">YOU DO NOT WANT TO MISS OUT ON PARTICIPATING IN THE 2006 NATIONAL REGATTA; WHETHER RACER, CRUISER, OR BENCH WARMER.</b></u></font id="red">

The National Regatta is a spectacular event because of the comraderie alone, but we were all amazed when Frank presented a shroud kit, turbo fans, and various other donated items. Duane has combined Frank's yeoman's work with his own enthusiasm and persistence to make 2006 the event to remember.

<b><u><font color="red">DON'T MISS THIS EVENT JUST BECAUSE YOU'VE NEVER PARTICIPATED IN A REGATTA. A RACE IS NOTHING MORE THAN CRUISING IN TRAFFIC, AND WOULDN'T IT BE COOL TO WALK AWAY FROM YOUR FIRST REGATTA WITH A TROPHY, NEW SHROUDS AND A NEW HEADSAIL? YOU JUST MIGHT, BUT YOU NEED TO REGISTER TO ATTEND THE GREATEST CATALINA 25/250 - CAPRI 25 NATIONAL REGATTA EVER HELD.</b></u></font id="red">

I'm disappointed I won't be able to make it. Even toyed with getting a trailer, but it's graduation weekend for a lot of schools on the east coast and my family obligations in that regard have to take precedence.
