Has anybody installed upgraded bow chocks to accomodate larger line? I am on a mooring that uses 5/8 line plus a chaffing guard. The factory bow chocks are too small. I would like to know if there is a 5/8 bow chock that fits in the same holes as the factory bow chocks. If not, what kind of backing do I need to use for the bow chock load from the mooring line?
Think I would change the mooring line to half inch before I put larger cleats on my boat. Cleats to accomodate five-eights line would have to be at least 10" and definitely require new deck holes and larger screws.
