The article (below) and the picture for the Sliding Bimini are self-explaining. It makes moving our bimini possible so we can cover most any part of the boat between the backstay and the mast.

rarely seemed to be in just the right place
aboard his Catalina 25. When he wasn't
sailing, he wished he could move it aft to
make it easier to climb in and out of the
cockpit. In the rain, he wished the Bimini
were farther forward so he could leave the
hatch open. He solved the problem by removing the bail from a pair of genoa track
slides and attaching Bimini "deck hinges.
The Bimini frame now slides forward and
