Electrical Upgrades

This photo shows the electrical panel area on the bulkhead
aft of the galley sink. The original Catalina 25 12V panel is directly behind the
sink. Modifications include:
- Directly to the left of the 12V DC panel is the on/off
switch for the electrical circuit to the outboard.
- To the right of the 12V DC panel is a 120V AC panel which
has on it a primary breaker, reverse polarity light, two 20 amp breakers, and three 10 amp
breakers.
- To the right of the AC panel is a Guest Off/1/Both/2
battery switch.
- To the right of the battery switch is a 120V AC outlet box.
- Above the 12V interior light is an ammeter that shows
whether the 12 charge is increasing or decreasing.
- To the right of the 120V AC outlet (and mounted to the
backside of the wooden bulkhead in the aft cockpit locker) is the two bank smart battery
charger. The 12V-ground wire is secured to the ground buss bar, while each 12V
"hot" lead is attached to one of the battery posts on the battery switch.
This way, the charger can work even if the battery switch is turned OFF.
