Snickerdoodle - Boom Vang
The Boom Vang is attached to a stainless steel boom bale. It gets the attachment point closer to the deck (better angle) and allows the vang to swing with the boom's movements, side to side. Snap shackles are installed at both ends of the vang so that it can be used as a lifting tackle for the Life Sling.
The stainless steel mast base plate has holes pre-drilled to attach halyard turning blocks, so the lines can be lead aft to the cabin. The SS mast base plate came from M&E. You need to measure the tabernacle to decide which one to buy. The turning blocks are standard swivel blocks with shackles.
