These mast slot plates were made using 7/8 inch aluminum plastic tile trim. I used a pair of tin snips to cut them to length and then screwed them into the mast so that the little "L" fit into the opening. Three screws secure them in place. After all was tightened up, I used a small hammer to finish the outboard edge flush with the mast. It was a pretty easy job all told. These replaced some older, quite large plates that really didn't work very well at all. |
