Not Yet! Internal Halyards I converted to all rope internal halyards. Slots were cut in the mast for the halyard exits, be sure to file the corners round and smooth. Stagger the slots so they won't weaken the mast. The line exiting in the picture is the spinnaker topping lift. The Catalina factory sells the mast head sheaves for the conversion. The c25 mast section is small enough that the rope halyards won't bang around inside and make noise. The result is a quiet, more efficient main. The blue shaded area had to be cut out to put the halyards inside the mast. I think the newer mast heads already have this cut out. Send comments or questions to: jp@kaiwan.com
