The Genie Stern Pulpit
Stern pulpit has been customized for easy stern ladder access. The 90 degree elbows were eventually welded for better stability. The larger plate under the identification plate, on the inside stern wall, is an cover for a cut that was made in the fiberglass to access the gudgeon bolts for the rudder. The Catalina factory makes replacement gudgeons that have a better bushing so the rudder isn't so sloppy. The
traveler lines were routed to the side coamings by and stainless steel bracket that elevates a turning block located near the vents. Cam cleats are used on top of the coamings.
